How to check network debt with the CIC system

CIC is usually an abbreviation of the Credit Information Center, or credit information center. This is an organization whose main task is to collect, store, analyze, process, and forecast credit information. This credit information usually relates to the credit history of individuals or businesses, including information on debt payments, current credit, credit history, and other related factors.

Method 1: Self-check bad credit online via the internet:
Step 1: You can call 0570-021-717 to request a registration code to check your bad credit profile. Note that each code will only be valid for 1 hour, so please confirm the necessary information quickly after receiving the code.
Step 2: Access the CIC website here
Step 3: Select 「ご利用前の最終確認へ」→「情報開示専用ページへ」→ check「承諾する」→「インターネット開示を行う」.
Step 4: Enter personal information
Enter the registration code from step 1.
Enter personal information including name, address, credit card number, and phone number used in step 1.
Select 「次へ」(Next).
Step 5: Review registration information and receive password
Double-check the entered information.
You will then receive a 10-digit password. Remember this password.
Select「確定」(Confirm).
Step 6: Download the bad credit information report file
Select the option to download the bad credit information report file (「開示報告書」).
Enter the 10-digit password you received in the previous step.
View the results on the downloaded report file.
Note: The fee each time is 1000 yen, and you can pay by credit card.
Method 2: Self-check bad credit via postal mail:
If you want to check via postal mail, you need to download the credit information check registration form.
Step 1: You can download it here, then print the registration form.
Step 2: Fill in personal information on the printed form
Step 3: Purchase a money transfer certificate at the post office bank for 1000 yen. This is also the price when you check bad credit via the internet.
Step 4: Prepare personal identification documents
Step 5: Send the completed registration form along with a photocopy of personal identification documents, money transfer certificate to CIC
Step 6: You will receive a notification letter of the result after 10 days.

Step 4: Verify identity and take a selfie.
Step 5: Choose payment method: credit card, bank account, etc.
